Last week, we featured a video of a camp ransacked by something destructive and probably huge. In this Sasquatch Chronicles Podcast, the man who filmed the scene, Bob Garrett, shares more information about the torn up camp and encounters he has personally had. DeleteIt was interesting hearing the second caller talk about the deer that came up to outskirts of camp and stay there. Then Will talked about hunter that had deer come up to blind and hang out there and was skittish until bolting away and then a bigfoot came charging up. I have heard other stories such with this type of behavior also.
ReplyDeleteMy first year of hunting ( would have been 1970 as you had to be fourteen in Michigan at that time ). I was in my blind in the woods which was ground level as rules did not allow above ground blinds at that time even though in the following years we all had about a three foot above ground blind on the swamp as DNR never came out there or anyone else in all the years I hunted. Anyway it was about 10 00 and I hear a deer approaching and I am looking through opening trying not to expose my head. Then to my surprise is a doe ( not legal to hunt that year ) with it head at top of blind looking in on me. It stayed there for about two minutes, all the while looking at me then looking back from where it came continuously, ust back and forth. Of course I was new to deer hunting and just wishing it was a buck. I had this feeling the doe wanted to really get in the blind with me. It finally bolted off and I can not remember anything else happening. Just looking back on this I often wonder what it was that caused this highly unusual behavior. I am sure this type of behavior has happened to quite a few hunters if they only let their mind wander back.

Hey chuck. You asked me a question the other day and I didn't see it till late. You asked me if I had observed a bigfoot blink it's eyes and the answer is no. I didn't get very good looks at the face and when I did it's movements were too fast to notice.

Specific report stated he became incapacitated before inhaling his own vomit and it is imposssible to determine the specific combination that led to his death. It was very mysterious from day one in the phone calls he made about being followed and how and where he was found. The one thing that seemed clear is something scared the hell out of him and the report said likely anxiety, disorientation, and paranoia. I followed it daily in the Detroit Free Press at that time and wondered if it could have been Sasquatch related as this is part of the Manistee National Forest and Sasquatch activity in this area is high. Cullen Finnerty's Father Tim said only Cullen and God know what happened and I would concur.
